Apple Themed Family Fun

A celebration of our past - Kiwanis members in Calgary sold baskets of apples as one of our major fundraisers through the 1950's, 60's and 70's. Kiwanians could be found throughout Calgary every summer, during the Calgary Stampede, and other major events, selling apples. Net revenues went to various local Kiwanis projects as well as running the Children's Summer Programs at Kamp Kiwanis. While apple selling is no longer a means of raising funds, Kiwanis continues to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support local underprivileged children such that they might enjoy an outdoor camp experience that, without Kiwanis, may not be possible.

The Kiwanis Apple Festival will be a celebration of our history, a celebration of children, and a celebration of special cuisine, entertainment, education and outdoor exploration of a very special place - Kamp Kiwanis. The weekend festival plans include apple baking and tasting, family activities and games, bouncy castle, face painting, live entertainment, a farmers market, silent auction, and so much more.
